Pastoral Team

Mark Mackay (Senior Pastor)

Formerly a trolley-pusher, storeman and Chartered Accountant, Mark became pastor of our Church in 2006. Married to Catherine and with 4 kids, life is busy in the Mackay household. Mark enjoys most sports (except Olympic walking) and getting lost in good music (U2, Coldplay but NO COUNTRY MUSIC). Most of all, he is passionate about the local Church as the means God uses to change lives and the World.

Seb Henley (Associate Pastor)

Moving from a career in teaching to pastoring, Seb has been able to continue on in his love for discipling and teaching young people. Seb has a wide range of interests enjoying gardening, playing board games with friends, singing and playing guitar, as well as listening to podcasts and reading. Seb loves good coffee and a deep conversation. His current areas of oversight are Worship, Youth and Children’s Ministry. Seb is married to Trudy, and has two wonderful kids, Eleanor and Austin. Seb is passionate about young people knowing God, knowing their worth in God, and knowing who God’s created them to be.

Ron Linning (Elder)

Since commencing work at the age of 16 Ron has been a Technical Officer, Audiologist and Baptist Minister until retiring in 2013. He specialised in diagnostic and paediatric audiology, and his ministry areas have been mainly in new churches or those in transition. In retirement he and Mary have settled into Forest Lake Baptist, where they have become engaged in life group and other ministry areas. They are also members of a Country Music Club, where Ron is part of a trio which performs regularly, and is involved with the sound desk team. They have three adult children, and two granddaughters. Ron and Mary long to see the church strong, and believers growing in their faith and walk with God.

Warren Mckenzie (Associate Pastor)

Warren McKenzie is the pastor overseeing the 5pm service. He has a background as a youth worker and has had previous involvement with various ministries, including outreach to the youth detention centre in Brisbane. Warren is married to Bridget and together they have two children, William and Maisie. Passionate about evangelism and proclaiming the Gospel, Warren’s desire is to see more people in the community come to know and trust Jesus.
